Eddie Hobbs and Community Timebank DVD

Community Timebank has produced a DVD showcasing beautiful areas around Glounthaune Parish.  The DVD also explains what Timebank is and what it does.  The DVD will be premiered on the 20th October 2006 in the Radisson SAS on the evening of the Wine Reception with Eddie Hobbs.  There will also be live music on the night in the Radisson.  Limited Tickets are still available at E25 or E20 with a Timebank Membership Card.

 

Glounthaune and District Flower and Garden Club

Talk on “Gardening in Autumn” by Peter Dowdall, 8 p.m. Thursday October 19th in the Glounthaune Community Association. 

 

Well Done St Lappans, the Radisson SAS and Kilcoolishal Clean Up Teams

Well done to the St Lappans Residents Group, the staff of the Radisson SAS and the Kilcoolishal Clean Up Team on their recent clean ups.  The thanks of the parish are extended to all those who helped out to make the local area cleaner and healthier for everyone.

 

Leeside Knockraha FC

Leeside AFC are holding a Race Night on Friday, 13th of October in the Junction Bar, Glounthaune at 8.30 p.m. Horses are E20, names of horses and sponsors to be given to Kieran Hogan, 086 3609747 by 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 11th .

 

Leeside/Knockraha School Boys/Girls are holding a table quiz on Thursday 19th October at 8.30 p.m. in the Junction Bar, Glounthaune.  Table of four is E30.

 

Ciorcal Comhra – Gaeilge Beo

Knockraha Progressive 45

The Knockraha Progressive 45 Drive has resumed on Tuesday Evenings at 8.30 p.m. in the Community Centre.

 

Glounthaune Youth Café Urgently Needs Adult Helpers

The Glounthaune Youth Café is in urgent need of adult helpers to help get it going. Any one over the age of 18 is welcome to help out.  3 training evenings will be provided and people will be asked to be involved every second Friday night from 8 – 9.30 p.m.

Fr Charles Kiely – Presentation

A presentation to mark the ministry of Fr Charles Kiely in our parish from 2000 – 2006 will take place on Saturday 21st October.  Mass in Glounthaune Church will be followed by a presentation in Erin’s Own Club Aras at 8 p.m.

 

Gramophone Circle
