Leeside/Knockraha FC

 

Leeside/Knockraha FC are made up of Leeside AFC from Little Island (formed 25 years ago) and Knockraha FC Knockraha a new club in the parish. Leeside / Knockraha FC have teams from under 5 up to youths (U18) and have over 150 members in our club. Last season was our second season together and our under 12 team won their league in the Cork Schoolboys league. All league games are played in Knockraha FC, Pigeon Hill and cup games are played in Leeside Park, Little Island. Training times for each team are as follows: U17+U16 with Paul Barry and Shane DeBarman, Monday and Thursday 6.30 to 8pm.On Monday its in Knockraha FC and on Thursday its on in Knockraha Community Hall (Indoor). Under 15 with Conor MacKnight and Colm Twohig, are on Monday in Knockraha FC 6.30-7.45. Under 14 with Barry Cotter and Rory Ahern, are on Thursday 6pm-7.30 in Leeside Park. Under 13 are on Thursday with Joe Lyons and Keith Cotter, are on Thurs 6pm-7.30 in Leeside Park. Under 12 and Under 11 are on Tuesday with Phil Collins, Micheal Coughlan, Colm Twohig, Cian Ford and Mick Flynn 6.15 to 7.45 in Knockraha and on Friday 5-6pm in Leeside Park. Under 5, U6, U7, U8, U9 and U10 are on Friday, 6-7pm with Rory O'Connor, Gerry Holland, Kieran Horgan, Ricky Getting, Ger O'Mahony, Eilish O'Riordan and Padraig Sullivan in Leeside Park Little Island. Greg Leopold, Colm Twohig, Tom Crowley and Steven Kiely train Knockraha national school every Friday in the school yard from 2.45 - 4pm. The odd ages wear Leeside colours Red and Black and the even ages use Knockraha colours green and yellow. New players are always well come at our club. The club are sending 3 teams to England next April 07 to take part in the Manchester tournament over the Easter weekend and there are 14 adults travelling with the teams.
